The RHP multi-cylinder and RGP(S) single-cylinder series overlap on paper. On site they diverge.
Multi-cylinder — the tonnage machine
The RHP series was developed from European and American cone technology and optimised for local conditions. It is the one to size first when a plant has to hold a tight spec at high tonnage: larger capacity, higher reduction ratio, better shape, higher automation and lower wear-part cost than comparable cones.
Single-cylinder — the simple, robust machine
The RGP(S) uses a cast steel frame and a forged alloy main shaft with a high-precision straight bevel gear drive and multiple cavity options. It is widely used for medium and fine reduction of hard minerals and rock, with hydraulic adjustment and an automated control system.
The practical rule
If the plant runs one product and one feed, RGP(S) is usually enough and simpler to keep. If you change cavities for different customers, or you are chasing shape and tonnage at the same time, go RHP.
