The PEY is a jaw crusher fitted with a hydraulic protection system in place of the conventional toggle. When an uncrushable block — steel, a slag lump or a bucket tooth — enters the chamber, the hydraulic circuit relieves pressure, the moving jaw retracts and resets automatically, and production continues without opening the machine.
Protection system
- Instant pressure relief and automatic reset, with no shear pin or toggle to replace
- Hydraulic cylinder stroke gives a defined relief travel and a repeatable reset position
- Frame and drive train isolated from peak loads
- Discharge opening adjusted through the same hydraulic circuit
Application
Steel slag and metallurgical waste, where tramp metal is inherent to the feed, and demolition material containing reinforcement. Also specified where the feed cannot be screened for foreign objects.
