The 2PG reduces material between two counter-rotating rolls. Because reduction takes place in a single pass through a fixed gap, the product range is narrow and the proportion of fines below the target fraction is low — the property that matters in industrial sand and in mineral processing where over-crushing is penalised downstream.

Application
Industrial sand, foundry sand and fine aggregate where the specification limits fines content. Also used as a tertiary unit behind an impact crusher.
