The PFL is a vertical compound crusher without a grate bar. Rotor hammers throw the feed against the chamber wall and against the material bed, so reduction is partly impact and partly attrition. The absence of a grate removes the usual cause of blockage in wet or clay-bearing soft rock, and the machine delivers a high proportion of finished sand in a single pass.
Characteristics
- Grate-free chamber — no blockage in wet or clay-bearing feed
- One-pass sand rate above 90% in soft rock
- Single rotor, simple structure; wear parts accessible from the top
- Low installed power relative to output for low-abrasion materials
Application
Manufactured sand from limestone, dolomite, coal gangue and similar materials, and fine crushing where a hammer mill would generate excessive fines.

Capacity figures are stated at the discharge setting shown and for material of normal bulk density. Final selection is confirmed against the feed gradation and the required product fractions.
